Welcome to Art Enrichment

Hi! Thank you for visiting my blog, Art Enrichment, a blog spot devoted to art education and engaging visual art projects.  The lessons you will see along with student work are from middle school, but with a few modifications, they are suitable for younger or older students.

Welcome! I am a middle school art teacher in Massachusetts and I created this blog to inspire other teachers. I believe that interdisciplinary connections are a key component to relating art to life and I teach that art is not only meant for museums but has many purposes including personal expression, cultural traditions, and historical significance. By looking at art and by making visual observations about styles of art and art history, students will cultivate a life long appreciation for art and the surrounding world. Please feel free to comment or ask any questions. I love to share ideas.
